So, I’m looking for my next work family. My company was sold. It’s hard when you have a work-family you love, but now must leave. I feel everything in life happens for a reason. I will try to use this blog to point out things I have totally missed or others have pointed out to me so that if you ever find yourself looking for a new work home, you will have my successes and failures to look to. So on day one here is what I learned.
- Updating your resume takes a lot of time and many passes from just about anyone you can think of. Everyone finds something different and has questions and input you would not have considered.
- Being home has shown me my new dog is CRAZY and HATES the mailman. (OK really anyone with a loud truck that almost kinda sounds like the mailman)
- And MIT has a WONDERFUL site for learning. called MIT Open
courseware (https://ocw.mit.edu/index.htm) where you can spend some time learning about many different topics so you look even more rockstar-ish on your next interview then who you are.
